Motorola Ic502 Review - a Review of the Motorola Ic502 Cellular Phone

Friday, November 20th, 2009
The Motorola ic502 offers two outstanding services in a sleek, modern flip phone. Users enjoy the dual benefits of phone and data services affiliated with the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network. In addition, the unit offers Nextel Walkie-Talkie Network services. The black clamshell offers a convenient black and white 96 x 32 pixel external screen as well as a 1.8? 128 x 160 pixel CSTN internal display.

The clean, modern design has a retractable antenna and weighs a mere 44.4 ounces. Its small size is deceptive considering all of the features packed into the ic502. Data features include WAP 2.0 and CDMA 1x data. The unit offers CDMA 1900 telephony and iDEN 800 dispatch bands.

Users enjoy up to approximately 200 minutes of talk time and up to approximately 135 hours of standby time. Call management features include a handy caller ID on the external display. The time and date display and phone book help keep users organized and the SIM manager offers added security.

Messaging features include short messaging services (SMS) and iTAP predictive text. Sending text messages is quick and simple using these features. The Motorola ic502 comes equipped with a calendar, calculator, world clock and alarm clock. The integrated speakerphone and voice record are built into the mobile phone.

The GPS navigation system offers assisted global positioning services. The ic502 comes with preloaded screensavers and applications. In addition, the unit has many downloadable features include games, applications, ring tones as well as downloadable screensavers.

One-touch Push-To-Talk (PTT) makes connecting through the Nextel Walkie-Talkie Network services. PTT notification during voice calls practically eliminates missed correspondences. The walkie-talkie feature can be used both on and off-network. Other convenient features include group connect as well as handy direct send contacts and MyInfo.

With the combined benefits of Nextel Walkie-Talkie Network services and phone and data services affiliated with the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network, the Motorola ic502 offers a lot in a sleek, compact mobile phone.

Two Way Radios — Alive and Well

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009
Do you remember the two way radios that fascinated you as a kid? Those radios were great for outdoor adventures with your siblings, whether you were playing a military spy game or just talking for fun. You may be surprised to find out that, two way radios are still alive and well. When you next visit your neighborhood wholesale electronics store, spend some time browsing the available two way radios. If you have not been in the market for walkie talkies lately, you will be in for a real treat. The devices have improved significantly from the ones you used to play with and they are cheaper than ever.

Why should you think about two way radios? These products have some ideal uses for today’s family! We use our radios almost everywhere, and I cannot imagine not having them available. E.g., when the family goes on vacations with our extended family and have multiple vehicles, we supply a two way radio in each vehicle. Doing this provides an easy way to communicate when one car has to make a pit stop, or needs a change in drivers, or just needs to stop and rest. Each July, when our church sends out several vans of volunteer workers into the mountains to do home repair and other missions projects, we place two way radios in each van in order to be able to coordinate the stops. Even with the proliferation of cell phones, when you are on the road it is not always feasible to get cell coverage. The walkie talkies provide a practically guaranteed method of keeping in touch as long as both devices are within the appropriate proximity. For the cheapest radios, a two mile range is standard.

We have made use of two way radios when venturing to the state fair every fall; we’ve used them at amusement parks and company picnics and when we’ve gone hiking in the mountains; typically, we take them with us to any place with big expanses of land or large masses of people, so that we can keep in touch with each other. Again, the two way radios are easier to use than cell phones, and in many vacation spots the cell coverage is not always available. Often it is the case that we have sent our kids down the street with a two way radio; perhaps they are playing with the neighbor kids. The radio provides security and confidence in case the child ends up in a difficult predicament.

Check out the nearby wholesale electronics store! Simple, long lasting walkie talkies with a two mile range are easily affordable. These devices are lightweight, easy to carry, attractive, have excellent battery life, and are quickly rechargeable. The communications quality is excellent, as well. Any electronic wholesaler(s) will have two way radios available. Check them out
